CGIndia News

Paris/France, Vancouver/Canada- June 15th, 2006 -Bionatics, the leading developer of 3D plant modeling and simulation tools for the 3D industry, announces the launch of a new 40 tropical plant library which are compatible with all both of its EASYnat® and natFX® products. The company now offers the largest 3D plant library for the industry with more than 350 different species available online for Autodesk® 3ds Max®, Maya® and VIZ users.

The Bionatics’ seeds are based on an “expression” of the genetic code of the real plants which are measured in the field. This enables a very realistic simulation of the plants in 3D regardless of their age or season with a multitude of variations possible. The natFX and EASYnat “growth engines” allows the users to generate plants with wide a range of possibilities according to their needs; ranging from very high resolution to real-time visualization.
“This new collection was requested by our clients”, explains Stéphane GOURGOUT, Vice President and Sales Director. “These efforts included several months of work firstly with the measurements done in the field in the Pacific, South and East Asia, and then at Montpellier in the Bionatics R&D lab where the measurements are converted into virtual seeds”.”.

The new tropical plant collection is available online for sale for the EASYnat and natFX applications and compatible with Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, AutodeskVIZ and Architectural Desktop.
